Museums Fellow - January 2027 Start

The Museums Fellow will serve alongside the Museum team to support the day-to-day operations, programs, and events of the museum. JAARS operates The Alphabet Museum and the Cardenas Building on its property. The Museums Fellow will learn how to train new staff, coordinate schedules, organize events, manage the museum, maintain the current museum collection, plan and install new exhibits, and design and implement museum programming to encourage engagement.Position Responsibilities

• Coordinates and host tours for guests 
• Organizes and works at special museum events and outreaches, such as JAARS Day and Night at the Alphabet Museum
• Designs programs that encourage curiosity and deeper engagement in visitors
• Learns how to manage staff and operations of a museum
• Assists with caring for and maintaining the collections
• Designs, researches, and installs new exhibits as part of a team
• Organizes archival documents and learns to manage the archives
• Assists with exhibit display maintenance and updates

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
