Summary

This position is located in the Office of Operations, Office of Enterprise Management Services, Division of Information Governance. The incumbent serves in a developmental Government Information Specialist (Privacy Analyst) position and is responsible for providing support to senior level specialists concerning the agency privacy program activities.

Duties

• Supports all activities for matters concerning information privacy procedures that ensure compliance with the requirements of safeguarding personal data.
• Conducts general analysis supporting the potential FDA acquisition, implementation, use and dissemination of IT tools, products, procedures, and practices to protect information assets and data privacy.
• Supports the development, maintenance and regular updating of the inventory of FDA's holdings of Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and in particular, Social Security Numbers, in accordance with data retention and disposal requirements.
• Supports the evaluation and implementation of new and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (Al), machine learning (ML), and privacy-enhancing automation technologies.
