Teacher, English Learner (ESL)

The English Learner (EL) Teacher, under moderate supervision, performs instructional work with limited decision-making discretion, providing leadership in the educational environment that encourages and nurtures learning for all students. The teacher supervises, monitors, and evaluates students while developing lesson plans to ensure all student needs are met. The EL Teacher also serves as the EL leader for implementing school-wide Language Instruction Educational Plan (LIEP) for all identified English Learners at respective schools. The employee performs school-based work to carry out Board of Education policies under the direction of the principal.
