Requirements 

As a Water Resources Engineering Associate, you should have a strong technical knowledge in hydraulic and hydrologic modeling and general civil engineering design. Projects include stormwater BMP inventory and inspections, drainage and stormwater management, stream restoration and wetland mitigation, flood hazard mapping, watershed and stormwater system master planning, flood studies, GIS infrastructure inventory, and dam analysis and design.  

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field with a focus on hydrology and hydraulics.  
  • Previous internship, coursework, or research experience in water resources engineering, flood studies, and GIS. 
  • Practical experience in stormwater design, steady state and dynamic modeling, water quality modeling, watershed assessment, and stream restoration design preferred. 
  • EI license preferred. 
  • Valid driver’s license. 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS preferred.  
  • Proficiency in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM and associated applications a plus. Floodplain Manager Certification (CFM) a plus.
