Intern - Operations Leadership Development Program - Cambridge, MA - Summer 2025

Are you interested in an internship opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an MBA to participate in paid intern opportunities. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.

Your role

  • Provide project management support to Operations teams; identify opportunities for improving processes that cut across multiple functions and that have a tangible impact on business performance

  • Develop business cases to support the project or program. Measure and demonstrate impact to business from process re-engineering initiatives and efforts; analyze, review and create executive level reporting on portfolios, programs, and work-streams

  • Partner with stakeholders from various businesses, functions, and the Accelerate! Program Office to understand current issues with program management process design and implement solutions to address them

  • Use data-driven analytical rigor and/or six sigma and/or lean expertise to accurately identify issues that lead to sub-optimal performance and their root causes

  • Work with cross-functional leadership to ensure agreement and process owner sign-off of improvements and ensure rigor in project execution, deliverables, timing and status reporting

  • Develop best practices guidelines or process documents and ensures the information and approach is applied broadly through best practice sharing sessions

You are the right fit if:

  • Currently working toward MBA (concentration in operations preferred), with background in engineering / operations

  • 3+ years business experience - knowledge of medical products and markets a plus

  • Structured, process and result oriented way of working, thinks strategically and critically in building long-term plans; project management experience a plus

  • Understands broader strategic context of initiatives and project work beyond own assignment

  • Strong planning and organization skills & effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Effectively builds and manages relationships, partners and networks within the organization

  • Is effective at executing independent and interdependent tasks and activities and is effective at interacting with middle, senior & executive management as well as ability to convince / persuade senior managers and work with them to develop, launch and measure programs

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The hourly pay range for this position is $30.00-46.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
