Job Description
About Plantd
Plantd was founded under the belief that wood does not need to come from trees and that building civilizations of the future will require carbon-negative materials to reverse the level of atmospheric carbon present today and sustain life, as we know it, on our planet. Starting with the homebuilding industry, we are leading a movement to materials made from renewable grass and building the factory of the future to ensure atmospheric carbon captured in the field is locked away inside walls, floors, and roofs of new homes.
Engineering Co-op
At Plantd, you will work directly with the engineering team to build the machines and systems that will disrupt the traditional construction industry. You will learn to design, fabricate, test, and iterate through current and next-generation technologies that will enable full-scale production of modern, carbon-negative building materials, bringing Plantd’s vision of sustainable building materials to life.
Day-to-day you will work at our vertically integrated space designing components, machines, and automated production lines. You will partner with engineers and peers to develop requirements at the system level and will own the creation of CAD models, engineering drawings, and structural analyses for your projects.
We look for smart, motivated, collaborative team members who love solving problems and want to make an impact on the world.
