About the Role:
As an Elementary Educator Intern, you’ll collaborate with experienced educators to guide students through core subjects within a language immersion framework. Through interactive lessons and activities, you’ll help students build language skills alongside traditional academics, preparing them to become confident, multilingual individuals. This role is perfect for those interested in elementary education and passionate about the benefits of multilingual learning.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in Multilingual Lesson Planning & Delivery: Work with the lead teacher to design and implement lessons in subjects such as reading, math, and science, all within a language immersion environment.
- Support Immersive Classroom Activities: Facilitate activities that encourage language acquisition, using conversation, vocabulary games, and bilingual/multilingual project-based learning.
- Encourage Social & Emotional Growth in Multiple Languages: Guide students in expressing themselves and interacting positively, teaching them to communicate respectfully and confidently in their target language(s).
- Observe & Document Language & Academic Progress: Help assess students’ academic and language milestones, contributing to progress reports and parent communication.
- Create a Welcoming, Multilingual Space: Assist in maintaining a classroom that celebrates multiple cultures and languages, helping students feel connected to their learning.
