A creative, artist-run non-profit is looking to hire an intern with a passion for and experience in arts administration and event production. BOOM Charlotte is currently planning its activities for 2025, and we are seeking a committed intern to help make it all possible.

The intern hired for this position will need strong critical thinking skills, commitment to deadlines, and creativity to integrate into our vibrant and passionate team. We are a small organization that does a lot of important work, and we look forward to sharing our knowledge, passion, expertise, and workload with our new team members!

The BOOM intern will support the Artistic Director and staff across multiple departments leading to our annual festival. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Assisting with support documents for grant applications and final reports
  • Connecting with and organizing artist information and meeting artists' needs
  • Assisting with social media
  • Organizing spreadsheets and tasks
  • Contributing ideas and solutions to problems, should they arise
  • Attending weekly meetings (either Monday or Thursday)
  • Working on the ground at scheduled events
