Work Schedule:

• This is a PRN position, providing shift coverage on an as-needed basis.

In this rewarding role, you'll help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health conditions, and substance use disorders identify career goals, secure employment opportunities, develop workplace skills, and thrive in jobs that align with their interests and strengths.

What You'll Do

As an Employment Support Professional, you will play a key role in helping people achieve greater independence through meaningful employment and community engagement.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting individuals in obtaining and maintaining competitive employment within their communities.
• Helping people identify their strengths, interests, skills, and career aspirations to create individualized employment plans.
• Supporting individuals in developing workplace skills and preparing for long-term career success.
• Building relationships with local employers, community organizations, and volunteer sites to create employment opportunities.
• Cultivating partnerships that promote inclusive workplaces and meaningful community involvement.
• Completing and maintaining career profiles by gathering information from the person supported, treatment providers, family members (when authorized), and former employers.
• Helping individuals explore how earned income may impact benefits and available resources.
• Providing education regarding workplace disclosure options and accommodations.
• Identifying supports and resources for individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, have Limited English Proficiency (LEP), are blind, or have visual impairments.
• Encouraging self-advocacy, informed decision-making, and progress toward personal employment goals.

What You'll Bring

To qualify, candidates must have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience supporting adults with mental health diagnoses and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• A passion for helping people achieve greater independence and career success.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and community networking skills.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
