Job Description
- Oversee the media/media assets site, ensuring content is current and engaging.
- Maintain University Faculty Experts Guide and public gallery of media assets up to date.
- Serve as a point of contact for student media requests and assist with local media outreach.
Media Monitoring and Reporting
- Track and tag media mentions using Cision; review news alerts and reports multiple times daily.
- Create and distribute weekly media briefs and highlights to media outlets and leadership.
- Maintain and update daily media mention documents.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Work closely with the associate director and director on various media and content-related tasks.
- Assist with media inquiries and coordinating faculty expert interactions. Manage location usage agreements for external clients making requests.
- Facilitate logistics and tools for media relations, including publishing on national news wires.
Social Media Integration
- Monitor and recommend content for UNC Charlotte’s flagship social media accounts.
- Coordinate with the social media team to enhance visibility and engagement.
Research and Expert Coordination
- Identify and connect with new local and regional reporters, and track media opportunities.
- Assist in finding and preparing faculty experts for media engagements.
