We are seeking an intern to work with the Lockheed Martin Corporate Strategy team at Corporate Headquarters in Bethesda, MD. The positions' duties focus on defense research in the U.S. and foreign countries. Participants will spend the majority of their time monitoring defined areas and reporting on developments. Interns will also assist the staff by coordinating company-wide activities, maintaining distro lists, composing presentations, drafting emails or reading publications. Attendance of events in the DC area may be periodically requested.

These are compensated internships which run through the year.

Basic Qualifications:

-Students pursuing a master's degree in Strategic/Security Studies, International/Regional Studies, Business, Engineering or equivalent disciplines

-Proficient communication skills

-This position requires U.S. Citizenship

Desired Skills:

-Familiarity with military weapon systems and/or the defense industry

-Previous experience in defense or regional research

-Advanced PowerPoint skills

-Knowledge of corporate finance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
