Job Description

The MeckPathways College Internship Program provides interested students currently enrolled in a college, university, technical, or trade school in the Carolinas the opportunity to gain work experience in the daily operations of a department within Mecklenburg County.

Paid Internship: $20.0/Hr.
Work Hours: 20-40 Hrs. per week
Summer Internship: 6/11/26 - 8/7/26

POSITION SUMMARY
Performs work related to college studies performing assigned duties under the direction of a professional staff member to gain career oriented knowledge and experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Works on separate projects and tasks such as developing and maintaining spreadsheets, performing program analysis, evaluating information and results and collaborating across departments.
- Assists staff in assigned department with on-going research projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:  N/A
Education:  Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or technical school in a field of study directly related to the area of assignment.
Equivalent Experience for Education Accepted?     N/A

Licenses and Certifications: N/A

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of:
Business English and basic math
Microsoft Office Platform.
Modern office practices and procedures.
Skilled in:

Basic computer skills

Communication – Clearly conveying information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
Collaboration -  Working effectively and cooperatively with others; establishing and maintaining good working relationships.
