Gig Social Media Video Project

The Project
Project Description: The College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) is seeking a videographer to enhance the college’s social media presence. The student will manage video production and editing, develop creative strategies, and ensure content aligns with the college’s communication goals. The student will create videos that highlight CHHS as a thriving community that supports student success, fosters connection and strengthens pride in the University by showing: • Vibrant College Life: Showcase events and initiatives that reflect the energy and opportunities at CHHS, encouraging students, alumni and the community to engage. • A Sense of Belonging: Feature student activities that help individuals find their place, build connections and contribute to retention and academic success. • The Difference is Charlotte: Spotlight inspiring alumni and student stories that celebrate their achievements and demonstrate how CHHS strengthens the city of Charlotte. Project Scope: The student will work with the CHHS Director of Communications to develop a social media video plan, monitor other social media channels for trending topics and relevant discussions, and execute video content for posting on Instagram and LinkedIn.

Learning Experience
The student will have the opportunity to create video content to add to their portfolio or personal website that exemplifies their skill set, creativity, and professional acumen.

Outcomes
By the end of this project, the student will have: • Created engaging videos for the CHHS social media accounts that helped attract new followers and retain current ones • Created and implemented a social media video plan for the college to follow • Positively interacted with CHHS faculty, students and alumni to increase brand awareness of the college On-Campus Employment (UNC Charlotte Departments Only) UNC Charlotte Gig Training Program
