STW: Computer Science for Bird Conservation

The goal of this position are to scrape the information related to the UNC Charlotte Motus tower from the motus.org website and display that information in real time on the Mecklenburg Audubon Society website (meckbirds.org) and the Department of Earth, Environmental and Geographical Sciences website (geoearth.charlotte.edu). Additional duties may include web page design so that Motus information about bird species can act as an educational resource for the general public and the creation of a separate and new web page to display and make available ecological data collected at a field site off campus.
