If you’re energized by supporting adults with mental health and substance use challenges—and you’re ready for a leadership path—this role offers the opportunity to guide a high‑impact team and shape outcomes that matter.

Why This Role Matters

As the CST Team Leader, you will coordinate and oversee a multidisciplinary team that delivers intensive community‑based support. Your leadership helps individuals:

  • Strengthen daily living and interpersonal skills
  • Build natural supports and community connections
  • Navigate behavioral health challenges with confidence
  • Maintain safe, stable, long‑term housing
  • Prevent crises through proactive, person‑centered interventions

This is an ideal opportunity for a therapist who values autonomy, teamwork, and meaningful community impact.

What You’ll Do

In this key leadership role, you will:

Provide Clinical Guidance & Oversight

  • Assign team members strategically so each individual receives the appropriate level of clinical expertise.
  • Deliver behavioral interventions, modeling, skills training, and behavior modification techniques as needed.

Support Person-Centered Planning

  • Conduct assessments and lead person‑centered planning processes.
  • Write individualized plans and ensure services align with personal goals and best‑practice expectations.
  • Facilitate meetings with individuals, families, and staff to coordinate high-quality support.

Lead and Develop Your Team

  • Facilitate a weekly face‑to‑face team meeting to review progress, identify concerns, and develop crisis‑prevention strategies.
  • Provide clinical support and guidance to team members.
  • Ensure documentation and service delivery meet state and organizational standards.

Engage Directly With Individuals and Families

  • Provide both direct and indirect services, supporting individuals in building skills, improving stability, and maintaining independence.

Qualifications

To be considered, candidates must have:

  • Master’s Degree in a Human Services field
  • At least 1 year of experience with adults with mental health diagnoses and/or substance use disorders
  • One of the following North Carolina clinical licenses:
