Serves as the Director, Award Management within the Office of Sponsored Research Administration, overseeing the Award Management team and directly reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Research Administration. The Director leads the institution’s post-award efforts, setting standards, priorities, and expectations for sponsored project oversight, financial tracking, and sponsor compliance. The Director provides leadership, builds community, and evaluates, designs, and refines team structure, workflow, and business processes across the university’s post-award lifecycle. Serve as an authorized organizational representative (AOR) for prior approval requests and oversee a team of award management specialists who directly support PIs through the post-award process. Works with the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research Administration on ongoing process improvement and training within the Office of Sponsored Research Administration and campus research community. In consultation with the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Research Administration, develops policies, procedures, and guidelines for all post-award operations for the award management team and provides guidance for the institution’s research community.
