Mt. Mitchell Foods is a fast-growing, family-owned food manufacturing company focused on building innovative snack brands and scaling production the right way. We run lean, move fast, and expect people to take ownership early.

We are looking for a Junior Cost Accountant who wants real responsibility out of the gate. This is not a back-office role where you sit in spreadsheets all day. You will be directly tied to operations, inventory, and production, making sure our numbers are right and our systems are tight.

What You’ll Do

Work inside our inventory and ERP systems (Food Ready, InFlow) to track and validate costs across raw materials, production, and finished goods

Maintain and update product costing, BOMs, and inventory accuracy

Investigate variances and fix issues, not just report them

Support purchasing, production, and finance with clean, reliable data

Help build better systems and processes as we grow

What We’re Looking For

Recent graduate or early career (0 to 2 years) in Accounting, Finance, or Supply Chain

Strong attention to detail. You catch things others miss

Comfortable working in systems and Excel

Willing to learn quickly and take ownership

Not afraid to ask questions or dig into problems

Someone who wants to be in the business, not just watching it
