Job Description
Are you ready to dive into the world of Instructional Content Curation? Discovery Education is looking for an energetic, creative, and passionate Instructional Content Operations Intern to join our Curriculum Instruction & Student Engagement team. Reporting to the Instructional Strategy & Design Lead, this intern will play a key role in supporting various projects and contributing to improving content quality, discoverability, and Back--to--School (BTS) 2026 readiness.
What You Will Do:
- Support Key Projects: Assist with the planning, execution, and evaluation of content curation, metadata enhancement, taxonomy alignment, video quality review, and asset organization initiatives that align with the department’s goals.
- Create Impactful Content: Develop, refine, and analyze materials such as metadata updates, curated channels/playlists, standards-aligned resources, documentation, and quality review outputs.
- Contribute to Strategy: Participate in strategic discussions and contribute ideas related to content organization, discoverability optimization, naming conventions, and AI--supported curation workflows.
- Build Your Portfolio: Gain hands-on experience in metadata design, taxonomy application, content classification, editorial review, curation workflows, and analytics-driven prioritization. You’ll have the chance to work on real-world projects that will strengthen your professional portfolio.
- Analyze and Learn: Track data, analyze outcomes, and review results related to asset quality, metadata completeness, usage-driven curation priorities, and AI recommendations—helping us refine and improve key processes and projects.

What We Are Looking For:

- Whether through coursework or previous experience (1–4 years), you’re eager to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting.
- Ability to approach challenges with creative, solution-oriented thinking.
- Enrolled in or completed a degree in Education, Information Science/Library & Information Science (LIS), Data Analytics, Marketing/Digital Marketing, or a related field.

Requirements:
- Must be willing to travel to our Charlotte Headquarters 2–3 times per week.
