As a Software Intern, you will be part of our Firmware Design Validation (FW DVT) team within our Asset Traction Solution (ATS) group which aims to enhance product validation processes for Zebra's offerings. This group is responsible for ensuring products meet quality standards through comprehensive testing strategies that cover requirements, customer use cases, and exploratory testing. By focusing on test automation, the team seeks to improve efficiency and accuracy in validating solutions. Interns play a crucial role in developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks, contributing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.

This is a hybrid role: 3 days in Lincolnshire, IL office, 2 days remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Involved in automation Tool Development

  • Participating in API development for integrating multiple tools

  • Developing small mobile app for Android, iOS, Windows

  • Documenting workflows

  • Participating in product feature discussion and providing feedback

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.

  • Must have a status of Freshman, Sophomore, Junior or Senior while in undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date between 2025 through 2028.

  • Familiarity with multiple programming languages and Frameworks such as, C#, ASP.net Core, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular 6, Bootstrap 4.0, Web API, CSS, MySQL, SQL Server, Visual Studio.

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SQL Queries

  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)

  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow

  • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences

  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Salary: USD 19.50 - USD 42.50 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
