STW: ENGR 1300/1301/1302/1303 TA

The College of Engineering seeks Teaching Assistants for ENGR 1300: Exploring Engineering and Technology with Success, ENGR 1301: Foundations of Math and Science for Engineers, ENGR 1302: Logic and Computational Problem-Solving, and/or ENGR 1303: Engineering Visualization and Graphical Communication. The TA will collaborate with faculty to foster an inclusive learning environment, leveraging their upper-class student perspective to facilitate peer learning support. Responsibilities include supporting hands-on lab sessions, providing timely feedback on assignments and maintaining proactive communication via Canvas and in-person interactions to clarify course material and grading expectations. The role requires empathy, flexibility and a willingness to guide students through challenges and decision-making skills. The TA will assist in grading with accuracy, offer curriculum improvement insights and manage a structured schedule to balance classroom support, grading and office hours. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to relate academic experiences to inspire student success. Evening availability may be required.
