Job Description
McColl Center is hub for creativity and a catalyst for growth,and is dedicated to putting artists first, supporting them throughout their careers with subsidized studios, access to modern equipment and tools, entrepreneurship programs, and 5,000 square feet of gallery space to exhibit and sell their work. Since 1999, our artist residency program has provided a haven for artists—a space where they have the time, resources, and freedom to turn their dreams into reality.
The External Affairs Research Intern supports McColl Center’s development and external affairs efforts through research, data organization, and reporting. Working closely with the development team, this role focuses on donor and prospect research, grant opportunity tracking, and gathering insights that support fundraising and public engagement. This is a hands-on learning opportunity for students interested in how nonprofit arts organizations operate and grow.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conducts research on donors, partners, grant opportunities, and peer organizations
• Assists with organizing and maintaining data, spreadsheets, and tracking systems
• Compiles research into clear summaries, profiles, and internal reports
• Assists with tracking fundraising initiatives, timelines, and deadlines
• Attends planning meetings, takes notes, and tracks action items and follow-ups
• Supports cross-department initiatives with research and preparation of materials
• Assists with documentation and reporting, including gathering metrics and evaluating impact
• Other duties as assigned
