Job Description
Movement Migration is a collective of seasoned dance artists collaborating to create and perform dynamic and poignant dance works that portray the depths of the human experience; the dances are shared with audiences locally and globally in performance and educational venues.
Summary: As an Arts Administration Intern, you would perform a wide range of administrative and support activities primarily related, but not limited to, the planning, implementation, and follow-up for Movement Migration’s events and programs. Interns will work closely with the Administrative Team as a whole. Interns will have the opportunity to gain teaching experience as an assistant for community and masterclasses.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Assists with the planning, implementation, and follow-up for Movement Migration’s events and programs.
• Assists with supporting the needs of guest artists for events.
• Attends and assists with fundraising events, dance concerts, masterclasses and other programming
• Teaching/Coaching opportunities (for majors).
• Assists with collecting intake forms for new participants, taking attendance, and assisting teaching artists as needed.
• Assists the marketing director with taking pictures and videos for social media purposes
• Other duties as assigned.
