Job Description
SUMMARY
USA for UNHCR, a certified Great Place to Work non-profit organization headquartered in Washington, DC, is excited to announce its annual Internship Program for Summer 2025. USA for UNHCR’s vision is “A world where every person forced to flee can build a better future.” and its mission is to protect and support refugees by mobilizing resources, elevating awareness, and driving action through a network of engaged supporters.
The Digital Marketing team seeks a highly motivated individual to serve as a Digital Marketing Intern. This internship is a 10-week assignment that will provide excellent opportunities for contributing to USA for UNHCR’s mission and vision. The internship is open to undergraduate students who are in the process of completing Social Sciences or equivalent coursework, including International Relations, Political Science, History, Communications/Marketing/Journalism/PR, Business or Graphic/Web design, etc. and wish to gain exposure to digital marketing and fundraising. The internship is an in-person 10-week assignment. The Intern will work with the Digital Marketing Team and contribute to various programmatic and campaign-based initiatives. This paid internship runs from June 2, 2025, to August 8, 2025. The position is hybrid, requiring in-office work on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and remote work on Monday and Friday. The intern must be available for the entire 10-week duration. The internship is based at our office in Washington, DC. Room and board are not included.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participates in digital asset building, online strategy planning and implementation intending to increase fundraising, engagement, education and stewardship among digital supporters
- Assists in developing creative content, fundraising copy and image selection
- Provides production assistance, including the creation of emails, SMS messages, landing pages, source codes and other digital assets as needed
- Assists in the execution and data monitoring of in-house managed advertising campaigns across departments
- Produces timely and accurate digital performance tracking and reporting for stakeholders
- Implements optimizations for content marketing and SEO
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to quickly learn new software and database programs
- Strong organizational and written communication skills
- Demonstrates passion for USA for UNHCR’s mission
- Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Have high energy, clear goal orientation and a strong work ethic
- An effective and collaborative team player
- Able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands

COMPENSATION
$18 per hour
