At Stowe, attendees will receive an overview of the departments and types of careers found at the organization along with a tour through the garden.

Please note that the Career Trek commitment is about 5.5 hours to account for program time and travel time to and from the organizations. Check your schedule and do not RSVP to attend if you know you can’t make the entire commitment.

The Career Center is providing transportation for attendees in 15-passenger vans. More transportation and logistics information will be shared in a confirmation email.

About Catawba Riverkeeper and Stowe Conservancy:

Ride along the river, hike along a trail, or peer through a microscope to witness the wonder of nature’s differences: trees reaching high to the sky, moss creeping underfoot, animals in their natural habitat, and aquatic life swimming in droplets from the river. The waters of the Catawba-Wateree River flow through the mountains, foothills, and the Piedmont as part of a vast, biodiverse ecosystem, each part coming together to create a beautiful confluence of nature. Catawba Riverkeeper listens to people, their histories, and the environment to find new ideas and practices that allow us to advocate on behalf of the water and its inhabitants. Catawba Riverkeeper strives for a community where everyone works in partnership to preserve and protect the vital waters of the Catawba-Wateree River Basin. More information found at:

Stowe Conservancy is 380 acres of beautiful conserved land open to the public seven days a week. We’re just 20 miles from Uptown Charlotte on the shores of Lake Wylie in Belmont, NC and serve as our community’s backyard and path to nature. We’re also proud to be a nonprofit organization, dedicating the funding we receive from our generous visitors, members and donors to investing back in the property. We’re determined to preserve its natural beauty and provide a space for outdoor community-building, learning and exploration. More information found at:
