A child of the '90s, Katie brings a mixtape of skills that includes podcasting, media production, teaching, content creation, and above all, writing.She’s the voice behind Field Day With Katie Black on the Bleav Podcast Network, where she spotlights the journeys of former athletes—from Friday night lights to life after the game—handling everything from booking to branding. She also produces and hosts The Katie Black Show, a vibrant time capsule of pop culture, current events, and the millennial experience—like a conversation you'd have on your childhood landline, but with better audio. Both shows are available on platforms like Apple, Spotify, and YouTube, and often come to life at intimate live events around town.
With more than 220+ podcast episodes to date, a sharp eye for digital trends, and a lifelong passion for American pop culture, Katie blends nostalgia and heart into every project. Her voice is as distinct as a VHS tape rewind—familiar, real, and always worth tuning into. She holds a master’s in communications and media studies and a bachelor's in multimedia journalism from Lynn University and is a Charlotte native.
