Are you curious about careers at the intersection of technology and music? Join us for an engaging conversation with Jonathan Marmor, a Charlotte-based technologist, musician, and entrepreneur, on Friday, February 20, at 10:15 a.m. in the Career Center.
Jonathan spent 11 years at Spotify, serving as Director of Engineering on Personalization and Music Experience teams, leading innovations like algorithmic playlists, AI-powered listening formats, and music discovery features. Before Spotify, he built music discovery systems at The Echo Nest and EXFM. He is also an active musician, composer, and founder of the Monthly Music Hackathon.
Currently, Jonathan is pivoting into entrepreneurship, launching a music-tech consultancy and advising startups, drawing on his experience in building music products and leading technical teams. He earned his MFA in Music Composition and his BFA in Music Competition and Indian Music from the California Instiute for the Arts.
