Career Trek: North Carolina Economic Development

Curious how businesses start, grow and decide to relocate to North Carolina? Interested to see how nonprofit, government, and public/private sectors come together to bring new business, industry growth, and job creation to the state?
Join Career Center staff for a Career Trek in partnership with the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) on Friday, January 24th from 10:00 am - 4:30 pm (program time). This will be an all day event located in Morrisville, NC where students will learn about the economic development industry and careers related to business development, marketing and research, tourism, and operations. Time will be spent meeting and learning from economic development executives from throughout the state and will include a tour of an economic development site. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
This Career Trek is great for anyone interested in economic development, business development, government, public administration, nonprofit, marketing, communication, and overall business.
The Career Center will provide transportation to and from the event. Because of the commitment required to attend, students are required to complete an application for consideration.

Application deadline is January 15th at 5 pm. Students will be notified of selections by January 17th and must accept or decline by Monday, January 20th.
