American Airlines Career Trek
Friday, September 20, 2024, 12:00 - 3:30 pm
Off-campus
Join Career Center staff for a unique look into the airline industry during the American Airlines Career Trek on Friday, September 20th from 12:00 pm-3:30pm (program time). This experience will provide students an in-depth understanding of working at the second-largest American Airlines hub at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The Trek will feature a behind-the-scenes tour featuring a control center tour, a ramp tour where you will get up close to aircrafts, and a look at the corporate office suite. There will also be time with various leaders who will take students through a “day in the life” of their roles and responsibilities.
The Career Center will provide transportation to and from Charlotte Douglas Airport. Additional logistical information is provided to students upon registration. Due to the unique nature of this Career Trek, students will need to commit 5-6 hours to account for travel time.
Career Treks are engaging opportunities for students to explore industries, job functions, and employer cultures at companies. Although Career Treks aren't recruiting events, we would like to note that this Trek is a good fit for anyone interested in business, technology/data, and engineering roles.
