AmeriCorps Recruiting Table

AmeriCorps will be on campus Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the Student Union, Table 4.

For almost 10 years Project MARS members have provided support to K-12 students and schools throughout Western North Carolina. Specifically, in rural and charter schools, our members serve closely with school staff to give extra support to students to help them succeed both behaviorally and academically.

Our mission is to provide students and schools with hands-on resources in areas where they need them most: Mentoring, Academic Assistance, and Resources for Success. As a Project MARS AmeriCorps member, you will commit to serving full-time for 1 year in one of our partner schools throughout our 18-county region. In addition, you will be matched with a "Little" through our partner, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Western North Carolina.

As an AmeriCorps service member, you will receive a living allowance, benefits package, education award, and a unique opportunity to gain professional experience through giving back to your community.
