The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is one of the nation's oldest physical science laboratories! It is our mission to promote U.S. innovation and industrial competitiveness by advancing measurement science, standards, and technology in ways to enhance economic security and improve our quality of life.

NIST is comprised of 6 different laboratories, and we hire a range of folks from different backgrounds and experiences. Our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Office recently rolled out an agency-wide strategic plan to continue our recruitment and retention of highly qualified, diverse employees.
