Career Meet Up: All About Research: Publish and Share Your Research with Prospective Employers and Graduate School Applications
Thursday, October 5, 2023, 1:00 - 1:45 pm
Zoom
Are you considering a career in research, or applying to graduate school? Learn how to utilize UNC Charlotte’s open repository, Niner Commons, to publish and share your research with prospective employers and admissions applications. As a student at UNC Charlotte, you can post a variety of scholarship to Niner Commons, including conference posters and presentations, capstone projects, journal articles, and theses and dissertations. Savannah Lake, Digital Scholarship Librarian, will demonstrate how to post works to the repository, and how to update your resume, CV, or online digital ORCID profile with these works. Career Meet Ups are 30-45 minute small group sessions focused on specific topics and led by career coaches or industry professionals. Meet Ups may be virtual or in-person, and you will have the opportunity to gain information, ask questions, and get some practice. If you need accommodations to access this Meet Up, contact Brandi Ledermann, Meet Up Program Manager, at blederma@charlotte.edu or 704-687- 0791.
