Navigating Interfaith in Career Panel

Navigating Interfaith in Career is a panel and networking event with a focus on religious diversity across professional industries. The panel will explore concepts such as taking off for religious holidays, resources available to employees, and the importance of interfaith community building. Networking and refreshments to follow.

Panelists:

Jacob Maniloff

Jacob Maniloff is a born and raised member of the Charlotte Jewish Community and a team member in Bank of America’s Risk Management division. Jacob studied Management & Information Systems & Supply Chain Management and received his undergraduate degree from UNC Charlotte’s Belk College of Business. Jacob currently works as a Compliance and Operational Risk manager at Bank of America and focuses on oversight of regulatory capital regulations. Outside of work, Jacob is actively involved with the Charlotte Jewish community, most notably through his volunteer work with a local group of high school Jewish students

LeDayne Polaski

Rev. LeDayne McLeese Polaski has been the Executive Director of the Mecklenburg Metropolitan Interfaith Network (MeckMIN) since October 2019. She previously served on the staff of the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America ~ Bautistas por la Paz for 21 years, ending as Executive Director. In that role she worked directly in Canada, the US, Mexico and Puerto Rico and with partners throughout the world.

She began her career as the Minister of Youth at Myers Park Baptist Church.

LeDayne and her husband Tom are active members of Park Road Baptist Church. Their daughter Kate is a recent graduate of Meredith College. LeDayne loves “being outside and moving” so she loves walking, hiking, swimming, kayaking and more. She’s an avid reader, a crossword enthusiast, a podcast addict and an obsessive fan of Jeopardy.


Deborah Muhammad

Deborah Muhammad is a second Generation American born Muslim. She is a wife, mother and

grandmother of 5. She works as a Clinic Manager for Novant Health and successfully navigates the challenges of practicing her faith daily with positively contributing and creating an environment hard work, great outcomes for the community served and a sense of belonging and inclusiveness with everyone she encounters.

She is a graduate of Marcella Niehoff school of Nursing at Loyola University, Chicago and a Graduate of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale Illinois. She holds bachelors in science degrees in Nursing and Education with a concentration in Workforce Education and Development.

Deborah is concerned with sending good forward and leaving for the next generation an indelible mark to continue good works and efforts in the future.

Suneet Kaur

Dr. Suneet Kaur is a primary care physician with a clinical interest in women’s health here at Atrium Health, currently serving a community of patients with complex care needs, particularly in an underserved population. She received her medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed her residency at University of Rochester and fellowship at Duke University. She is the Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. She is involved in research on quality improvement in general medicine. She has been recognized twice with the Compassionate Care Award from the Residency Program, has received the outpatient teaching award from the UNC School of Medicine and was a recent finalist for the Atrium Health System Physician Community Impact Award.

When she’s not working, Suneet enjoys spending time with her family. She is an active member of the Sikh Community of Charlotte at the Gurdwara Khalsa Darbar, regularly teaching music in the Sunday School. Outside of volunteering with multiple organizations locally, she sits on the board of a national advocacy program, the Sikh Coalition and is very involved with the North American Sikh Medical and Dental Association.
