Are you a student passionate about quantitative and data analytics seeking a career in risk management? Corporate Risk’s externship program is a professional development program that will offer you the chance to discover the world of Corporate Risk at Wells Fargo while enrolled as a full-time student. This externship program offers undergraduate seniors, Master's, and Ph.D. students the chance to:

  • Model Risk Management (MRM): Ensures the accuracy and reliability of models used across the company.

  • Risk Modeling Group (RMG): Develops models used for credit, compliance, and operational risk management.

  • Independent Testing and Validation (IT&V): Evaluates the effectiveness of controls and risk management activities.

Bios:

Jacqueline Venigalla worked at Wells Fargo in Model Risk Management since May 2020. She holds a Master’s in Data Science and Business Analytics from UNC Charlotte, where she also completed two semesters as a co-op student before transitioning to a full-time role. Jacqueline began her career in consulting with KPMG and Northrop Grumman and took a 10-year hiatus to focus on family. Her academic background includes a BA in Communications and Commerce from the University of Pennsylvania. At Wells Fargo, she specializes in analyzing and managing models related to the valuation of the home mortgage portfolio, including hedges, derivatives, and forecasts.
