Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems in Moorestown, NJ is seeking a Systems Engineer Intern for Summer 2025. In this role, you will execute all phases of the systems engineering process including requirements allocation, tracing and authoring; system design and algorithm development; data analysis of simulation and test data; and system integration and test. The successful candidate will have a foundation in systems engineering principles. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:

Pursuing a Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent

Strong foundation in systems engineering principles, including requirements allocation, tracing, and authoring; system design and algorithm development; data analysis of simulation and test data; and system integration and test

Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or similar programming or scripting language

Familiarity with UNIX OS.
Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
-
Experience with model-based system engineering using SysML (activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, etc.)

Knowledge of algorithm development, data analysis, and system test

Experience with formal requirements verification, test procedure and test script development, and root cause analysis and resolution of defects

Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Git

Experience with system integration and testing, and interfacing with software teams to communicate designs and troubleshoot issues

Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
