As the Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager you will collaborate with Product Development, Brand, and other internal departments as well as external manufacturing partners as it relates to sourcing of goods, materials, and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, considering quality, service, and price to ensure continuity of supply for all GNC's products.
What You'll Do:
This is a Full-Time Salary Position
As a Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing, your position may lead and coach teams who will work directly with our ingredient/component manufacturing partners to determine availability of new/improved ingredients to streamline new product development. You will also develop sourcing programs, at times specify suppliers and specific suppliers or commodities which actively support the strategic vision of GNC and is expected to actively contribute to the team achieving those goals.

Maintain a computer database of all filed documentation that ensures fast retrieval of documents

Develop strategic sourcing strategies for specific categories being purchased using focused industry analysis, criticality analysis, business knowledge, competitive analysis, and sourcing expertise

Lead team of category managers and sourcing analysts to develop short term and long-term category strategies and execute on cost savings plans as it pertains to the goals set forth by leadership.

Lead and coach internal business partners and team members on the sourcing process: gather requirements, market analysis, identifying sources, proposal evaluation, negotiations, contract creation, contract management, spend analysis, and long-term category planning.

Perform strategic sourcing work to manage risk and optimize the value/resilience of materials/services sourcing

Build effective, strategic relationships with Supply Chain Management business partners and internal stakeholders, using personal influence skills to persuade others and gain support.

Align and collaborate with Business Executives of functional areas to understand business strategy and develop sourcing strategies to drive optimal value in the purchase of goods and services
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in business administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required.

Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred.

8+ years progressive in sourcing of dietary supplement (DS) raw materials, bulk supplements, and/or packaging components experience preferred.

5+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect)

2+ years' experience in the nutrition industry or comparable experience.

Prior managerial/supervisory experience preferred.

Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment

Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
Additional Information
Environmental Factors & Working Schedule:

Hybrid work environment, 3 days in-person attendance (Pittsburgh, PA) in addition to ability to work remotely.
